Trophy \u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae Challenge 2022 - winners<\/h4>\n <\/span>\n

In 2022, we won Greece\u2019s most prestigious agricultural innovation competition. Indicative of this competition's prestige is that the panel of judges consisted of key personnel from BAYER, BASF and SMART Agrohub.

We used these funds to pay for our products packaging design, e-shop, buy equipment, chemicals and our solar heating system.
\nWe also got the best mentor we ever had, George Boretos, who volunteers in KEMEL. George helped us redefine our goals, prioritize our market segments and refine our tactics to acquire our first customers.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/a>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]

SUAVE Urban Farming - Innovation prize: 2nd place<\/h4>\n <\/span>\n

In 2023, our team was honored to receive the second innovation prize from the SUAVE project for our groundbreaking contributions to the Urban Agriculture Value Chain in Europe. We participated in this competition with our fresh spirulina paste and fresh-frozen spirulina, focusing on green and digital technologies we incorporate in our process. Our IoT system played a big role in this competition!
\nThis prestigious accolade acknowledges our efforts to enhance sustainable growth and resilience in urban food systems, demonstrating our commitment to developing innovative solutions that address both environmental and social challenges within urban agriculture. Open Innovation by Trata - winners<\/h4>\n <\/span>\n

Our team also triumphed in the Generation Ag\u2019s Open Innovation by Trata. Our team participated presenting 3 different products that could help by integrating in Trata\u2019s industrial production, substituting animal protein: fresh-frozen spirulina, phycocyanin extract and exhausted spirulina. Trata decided to prioritize fresh-frozen spirulina. It's Alive is one of the 3 finalists of this competition.

\nDuring this competition, we analyzed our spirulina\u2019s protein profile, to find out that it is complete: it contains all essential amino-acids for humans.
\nThe funds of this award helped us invest in our technology to produce phycocyanin. We invested in a state-of-the-art equipment, that helps us extract analytical-grade phycocyanin in the most efficient way!<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/a>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
